Located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour, Sydney Wildlife World adds an iconic landmark to the surrounding foreshore. The Urban Zoo, an extension of Sydney Aquarium, has been created to accommodate Australian wildlife in a natural environment. The design was inspired from the skeletal frame of a python, and construction needed to accommodate nine ecosystems simulated within the facility. The elegant mesh roof supported by curved steel arches creates an imaginative, exciting, and attractive addition to Sydney Wildlife World; whilst providing a natural, functional home to Australia’s unique wildlife.
