Luna Park
THE PROJECT
The Luna Park Big Top is Sydney’s spectacular state-of-the-art entertainment venue, located on the shores of Sydney Harbour. When the iconic park underwent a major redevelopment, the design called for a new special events entertainment centre, with a traditional circus style tent facade.
The Luna Park Big Top combines superior acoustic attenuation and state-of-the-art production and lighting facilities. In addition, the unique design of the auditorium offers clear, uninterrupted views, from anywhere within the venue. A mix of specially-designed tension membrane shade structures were also comissioned; including the canopy cover over a heritage listed carousel.

Design Features: Themed externally (Traditional Circus Style), acoustic / 2hr fire doors and air locks, built to achieved STC 50 rating, acoustic ceiling lower and upper layer. A total 64 tonne rigging capacity – 8 trusses, themed awnings & foyer structures x 2 levels. Suspended plant room/glass facades
