Mpowerdome Entry Structure

Located in Canberra ACT, the Mpowerdome Sporthall Facility required a unique architectural entrance structure, designed to meet stringent local DA standards. Due to the large profile of the custom built Sporthall, venue management required a striking focal point to lure players and spectators to their reception and registration area.

The complex, award-winning design required the structure to slope back towards the Sporthall, combine with the curved sidewalls of the main structure, and be designed with the absolute minimum of visual frame work. The inverted cones and columns that splay out in different angles also double as downpipes, thereby streamlining the design.
